editorial design
Creation of the editorial design for the exhibition catalogue David Salle: Painting in the Present Tense, presented at the Galleria di Palazzo Cini and organised by Thaddaeus Ropac. Conceived as an extension of the artist's practice, the publication accompanies the exhibition while offering a reading of David Salle's pictorial universe.
The editorial design is built around the concept of "Superposition". Borrowed from David Salle's pictorial language, it evokes the coexistence of images, temporalities and narratives that intersect without ever erasing one another, opening the way to multiple layers of interpretation.
This approach is expressed through the use of transparency, echoing the layered readings that run throughout David Salle's work.
