contemporary stories told by artist and authors

Nombril Magazine is a publication spotlighting contemporary stories from the perspective
of artists and authors alike. Nombril is conceived and realised by Studio Vacarme.

Nombril magazine unveils contemporary stories, photography, illustration, experiments, poems and typography.

It’s birth, founded upon a fascination for the imaginary, an ambition to bring together creatives and a desire to enable limitless expression around our shared passion for art, photography and the written word.

The second issue explores effervescence.

Channelling the effervescent theme, the art direction stages a vaporous banquet, carrying the spirit of Nombril 02 into its mise-en-scène. The collaboration moves beyond the magazine’s pages, revealing a deliberately orchestrated sense of chaos.

Available in art spaces and bookshops: Frac Bretagne, Fondation Louis Vuitton, Lafayette Anticipations, Cahier Central, Librairie Sans Titre, Artazart, Palais de Tokyo, Les Abattoirs, Luma Arles, Yvon Lambert...
